Sarah is a Registered Nurse with a Master of Advanced Nursing, combining extensive clinical experience with advanced qualifications in nursing practice and leadership. She has held senior roles leading aged care homes, served as a clinical nurse educator consultant, and shaped emerging practitioners as a nursing educator — giving her a well-rounded perspective across care delivery, clinical governance, and workforce capability. This breadth allows Sarah to bring informed, practical insight to Carexcell’s Governing Body, supporting robust clinical oversight and continuous improvement. Outside of work she has a strong passion for the outdoors, and throughout her career she has been guided by a caring, person-centred approach that aligns closely with Carexcell’s values.

Lauren Kramer has been managing Carexcell on the Mid North Coast since 2017 and has guided the growth of the community care programs. Lauren received a BArts majoring in Business and History and has spent her career focused on aged care, in particular delivering best practice services to clients. Lauren is currently completing her Masters in Business Administration.

Self-care is a topic you will hear a great deal about from Lauren, who understands that no one can pour from an empty cup and believes staff have to enjoy a work life balance to provide the best care possible when working. When not at work, Lauren is passionate about her animals and vegetable garden. She has also been known to cheer very loudly and proudly for the GWS Giants AFL team.

Tim is a senior finance partner with 20 years’ experience in risk management, compliance, external and internal audit, operations management, business development and strategy roles. This has been established working in both the professional services industry and commercial sector both listed and unlisted.

Tim is currently the Head of Integrity, Risk & Compliance for a national subsidiary of an internationally listed Group. His leadership extends to serving as Chair and Board Director for various Not-for-Profit (NFP) organisations, in addition to his active participation on Audit Risk and Compliance (ARC) Committees.

He values integrity, honesty, transparency and a commitment to challenging himself whilst embracing differences and is passionate about serving and caring for communities. He has a strong belief that a board’s fundamental role is to be accountable for creating and delivering value and as director contribute through effective governance, guiding and reviewing the strategic direction and monitoring its implementation by Management.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Majoring in Accounting) is a member of the Australia Institute of Company Directors, CPA Australia and the Institute of Internal Auditors in Australia.

Paolo is an experienced clinical and aged care leader with more than 15 years of comprehensive clinical management experience, covering stroke and rehabilitation services and community supports in New Zealand. He has also led residential aged care as a senior manager, holding leadership positions across both New Zealand and Australia — experience that spans clinical oversight, quality and safety, and the day-to-day operation of complex care services. This depth allows Paolo to bring practical, informed insight to Carexcell’s Governing Body across clinical governance and service delivery. He is genuinely passionate about Carexcell — its growing place in the community and its future — and committed to supporting the quality of care it provides.

James is an accomplished IT executive with an Executive MBA, bringing together advanced technical expertise and strategic business acumen. His career spans aged care IT — giving him a strong understanding of the systems, data, and digital infrastructure that underpin quality care — alongside international Salesforce consultancy, where he has delivered platform solutions across diverse and complex operating environments. This combination equips James to bring informed perspective to Carexcell’s Governing Body on technology strategy, digital transformation, and information governance. Passionate about sustainability, he is committed to merging technological innovation with eco-conscious solutions that support responsible, forward-looking operations.

Thomas has been part of the Carexcell story from the very beginning, helping found the organisation in 2008. What started as a single program in a single location has grown, under his leadership, into a diversified, multi-state provider of community-based health, aged care and disability services — but for Thomas, the scale has never been the point. The people always have been.

He genuinely believes that great care starts with seeing every person as an individual, whether that’s a client, a family member, or a member of the team. That belief shapes how he leads: a healthy, happy and motivated workforce, in his view, is the real key to delivering care that people can feel the difference in.

Thomas brings deep experience to that mission. Before Carexcell, he held executive roles with internationally recognised residential aged care providers, and he has a track record of building innovative, market-leading services across New South Wales and Victoria. He’s as comfortable shaping big-picture strategy as he is championing the everyday moments that make good care exceptional.
