Our goal is to help you live well, stay connected and maintain independence in the place you feel most comfortable: home.
Your Support at Home budget is made up of:
The Australian Government contributes funding towards approved Support at Home services based on your assessed care needs.
Some participants (the person receiving care) may be asked to contribute towards the cost of certain services. Contribution rates are determined by Services Australia through an income and assets assessment.
The amount you pay will depend on:
Clinical services are fully funded by the Australian Government, with no participant contribution required. This may include nursing care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, dietetics and other approved clinical supports.
These services help you stay active, independent and safe at home, and may include personal care, social support, respite services and assistive technology. A moderate contribution may apply depending on your financial circumstances.
Everyday living services support you with household tasks such as cleaning, gardening, meal preparation, shopping assistance and other domestic support. These services generally have the highest participant contribution rates.
Carexcell does not decide what contribution you pay.
Contribution rates are determined by Services Australia following an income and assets assessment.
Generally:
Services Australia will notify you directly of your contribution rates.

If eligible, your contribution arrangements may remain the same, or better, than they would have been under your previous Home Care Package program.
Our team can help you understand whether these arrangements apply to you.
